We went to Stake Conference on March 22nd in Salzburg. Actually it was a little drive further than Salzburg, out in the country. We got up early and picked up two of the young Elders at 6:00 a.m. to make the long drive. When we got there we found out that we were one and a half hour early. This is what happened -- papers were given to everyone in church announding the conference and the time it started. I can't read German, so I just looked at the time and assumed that we were supposed to be there at 8:30 a.m. Actually that was the time the choir was supposed to be there to practice and the conference started at 10:00!

Oh, well -- we had a good parking spot and good seats! And a nice visit with others who came in early. We met a lot of old friends including the ones in the picture above -- Brother and Sister Maltl. Jerry met them when he was here as a young missionary many years ago. And when we came here on vacation right after we were married, we stayed in their home for several days. It was a nice reunion with dear, old friends.
